LE Mag cutoff...

ok - so tried ebay, EE, google... damned if I can find a mag cutoff for the SMLE no1MkIII - I just happen to have a receiver with the cut out - just need the part. Any help tracking one down will be much appreciated by me and the rifle (especially the rifle!)

What they DON'T have is the SCREW.

And without the SCREW, we can't even say we're 'screwed'. Guess we'll have to be 'screwless'!

I cutted a small nail that had the good diameter, I inserted it from the bottom, and I assembled the action into the wood. This way the nail stays there, the plate works and you don't need a screw

Thanks Smellie - I knew either you or Lou would know. I have a guy Lou put me onto down in the USA that makes custom screws for SMLE's - he is a little pricey, but worth the work. If you want I can order 3 screw and send you 2. THanks for the heads up!

Mine is a BSA 1916 rec. in great cond. Barrel is sharp with a little frosting in the chamber. it NEEEEEDs to be restored! LOL! I'll post pics as she's coming along.

P.S I just got another batch of Enfield bits from Pee-Bay - so if anyone needs ears, or other parts for restoration let me know... I think this batch will the be the last for a while. I want to finish my Full Metal Jacket M-14 project

Trials rifles and even some Indian No.4(T)'s continued to be issued with cut-offs long after WW1…

Frank at Marstar mentioned to me awhile back, that along with the Enfield
wood shipment they are getting soon, they were also getting lots of hardware as well.
