i have a '43 No.4 all numbers matching except for the magazine. on the bottom is stamped " the modern gunshop - toronto ontario"

is this shop still operating or does anyone know about it? just a curiosity more than anything else. thanks.
 
Probably a retailer. You could try a 411 search to see if they are still in business. I have never heard of them.
 
Long Branch mags

Were all the Long Branch magazines numbered and, if so, was the numbering dropped at one time or the other?
I understand they never had the same problems as the British factories working under the constant german bombers menace. Was it a factor?
