Lead 357 bullets in Canada

I don't know if DRG ships out your way but the last 158 grain 357 bullets I saw a buddy buy from them well all I can say was they were near perfect.

Does DRG have a website? I see reference to their bullets but can’t find an actual website.

Campro are plated lead core and cost almost the same than strait lead bullet.
In .357 that will be my choice anytime..

Actually, DRG bullets are cheaper, and I find them way more accurate. I load both LSWC and LRN 158gr in 38/357. Cost me about $90.00/1000. Packaged in boxes of 500.

I buy cast lead .38 Spl 158 grain RNFP from Cactus Plains in Tompkins Saskatchewan at $80/ 1,000. This is the same price that he sells 1,000 .44's, .45 acp & .45LC for also. CamPro in .38 spl which I use on indoor ranges during the winter cost approx. $138.00/1,000 (if my memory serves me correctly) and .44 & .45 are about $80.00/500. Big difference.

I only pay 115/1000 158gr with free shipping and they are rated for 2000fps.

The original question was about cast lead bullets. Personally due to the possibility of elevated blood lead levels I only use cast lead for outdoor shooting, and CamPro for shooting indoors during the winter. There is a vast difference between elevated blood lead levels with cast lead indoors and using CamPro bullets indoors at the end of shooting indoors for 6 months.

DRG in Guelp ON might not, but I think their distributor; Hummason Manufacturing in Ancaster ON likely would. I think they ship their lead shot all over Canada and the US (they make it on site, and have a 120' shot tower. Great prices on powder and primers too.

I haven't seen any pricing low enough to justify buying lead over plated. Maybe I'm not looking in the right places but seems like most charge significantly more for their cast than you can buy Campro for.

All of us guys that shoot PPC, particularly with revolvers find we can reduce the power more for the same velocity with lubricated cast lead. We shoot a lot, but lead fouling is not an issue for us. More accurate than plated. I use Campro HP in my 9mm because it punches a nice hole in the targets; LRNFP in .40 and 200gr LSWC in my .45.

Not sure what doubleguns requirements are , But plated bullets are not allowed at my home clubs indoor range . Plated bullets as well as gascheck bullets are not allowed for cowboy action shooting.

I can understand for lead bullet requirement for cowboys shooting, but for an indoor range - general target shooting - most indoor range go the other route , mandate plated or jacketed bullet to cut down on lead contamination..
