Lead Ammo in a pistol

22 ammo

I've tried quite a few types and brands. Blazer seems to work well in my 22 conversion as did cheap- by -comparison Remington Thunderbolt. CCI Mini Mags are reported to work well in a lot of guns. However I find the thickness and texture of the coating seems to foul up the feed on occasion. It's funny that a product like the 22 cartridge can look so similar from brand to brand but behave differently in practice.

All i shoot in my semi auto 22 handguns is target velocity, ussually remington, but i prefer T22 when it's in stock. That being said, 2 of my 3 22 revolvers prefer plated, or they will lead badly in the forcing cone.

I have a couple semi-automatics and I have found that the copper plated/washed stuff feeds better than the lead nose stuff. CCI minimags tend to be the best but also the most money.
