Lead bullets for 45 acp

Hey there, I was just wondering where are the various places that I can buy either 200grn SWC or 230grn LRN bullets and how much they charge. Is there much savings over bulk jacketed bullets?

I pay $48 taxes in for a box of 500 200Gr DRG SWC in .45 ACP from my club. Williams Arms is about the same.

DRG, yeah, Ellwood Epps sells them. Probably looking about $54 - 59 retail for 500.

And yeah, they are cheaper then jackets.

Somewhere in between you could consider CMJ bullets. Company called Cam-Pro in Quebec makes them. They are more then lead, but much cheaper then jacketed, and just as good in my opinion. Ellwood Epps also sells them.

Well, seeing as you are in Calgary and not in Ontario you should check out these places. Lead bullets are avbl thru The Shooting Edge, ProLine in Inglewood and I think the Calgary Shooting Center may also carry. Now if you want to check outside Calgary remember shipping is killer on bullets. As far as cost difference, lead is far less but watch carefully. Some retailers are selling plated bullets for as much as jacketed which is ridiculous and the regular lead is right up there too. Cactus Plains makes great bullets(out of SK) and he may be at gunshows. U may want to check into that

All I use is lead cast bullets in my 45s. Cost about $35/500.

+1 for Cactus Plains. Unfortunately, Wholesale Sports hasn't been carrying their bullets lately, but pickup in Calgary can be arranged, which will save quite a bit on shipping.
