Ok I'm working with making bullets using .22RF brass as the jackets but I need a source of 0.200" lead wire.
anyone have a source, (in Edmonton would be nice)
There are a couple options, none cheap unless you are lucky.
Buy it from someone that has extruding dies and a big enough press. There are a couple guys around, mainly in the US, so postage sucks.
Order it in from a metals supplier. You may have to live with whatever size they stock, and make do.
Make you own. You need enough tools and materials to make the cash options look pretty cheap, for this. Lathe to make the die and extruding cylinder, press big enough to squeeze. A 1 inch or so diameter slug through a .200 hole, etc..
Your cheap way out is to cast your own cores. Use pure lead. Or just order some cores the size you need.
Have seen the odd core mold show up on castboolits, too.
There is some good info on castboolits, some on the saubier forum, there is a bullet making forum on accurate reloaders forums, and a bunch of info on the two Corbin brothers sites.
Good luck.
Cheers
