I am taking a table at a gun show at High Prairie 16-17 april. I am bringing lead ingots for sale, there is hard cast lead, wheel weight lead and soft from stick on weights. None is fluxed other than what come off at the melt. What would be a fair asking price for this stuff? I am thinking of $1.50 lb for hard cast and ww and $2.00 lb for soft lead???? Is this fair? Let me know what you think.

Your price for soft seems decent. I just bought some pure in Calgary for $3/lb. If I had have bought 100 lbs it would have been $2.75. Plus tax of course.

I just bought 62lbs of hard lead alloy (6% antimony, if I remember right) for $150. So, $2.42/lb. This is commercially produced in nice shiny bars. Got it from Alchemy Extrusions in Stoney Creek - reasonably handy for the GTA.

Generally soft lead is worth less than hard lead - antimony and tin are more expensive than lead. The more antimony and tin in an ingot, the more expensive it usually is.

I called all the recycle yards in Montreal area and no one sells lead. They only buy lead scrap for 0.45$/lb. I even pushed the envelope and asked for 1000 lbs of lead and the answer was still NO.
