Lead free .22 LR for hunting?

Hi all,

Hope you're doing well this Sunday afternoon!

I was curious if anyone knew where to purchase lead free .22 LR ammo, looked around and havn't found any in my usual go to online ammo stores..

Lol. Hey guys, check it out! We can shoot AND be environmentally friendly at the same time! As we all know, lead contamination is a HUGE problem today, check out this obviously un-biased CBC article!
 
Not even kidding..aha I am gonna keep shooting my usual for target shooting, but for what I eat I would like some lead free ammo..

You are NOT going to get poisoned from eating meat shot with lead 22lr. Unless you're eating the lead itself. In which case you likely still will be fine. In the event you are getting too much lead, your body will tell you in a bunch of ways. It won't be a surprise.

Yeah you are probably right, people have been hunting with lead for a long time.. Another issue I was thinking about was bio accumulation, with predatory birds such as hawks and eagles eating discarded small game parts with lead in them and being poisoned as a result.
 
Lead free 22? Sure but not 22LR. If lead is such a concern for you, buy a .223 and make up some puff loads using Barnes copper bullets & Trail Boss.
 
CCI 925CC is solid copper.

Dealers that buy from North Sylva (they have tons in stock) can get it for you (including any Crappy Tire that sells ammo if the sports dude is not too lazy to order them in - not a regular product, but can carry them).
