Any ideas on how to get the last little bit of lead out of the leads into the rifling just past the forcing cone ? I seem to get these little baby pieces that are really stuck...

Soak with good ol hoppes no 9 for at least 20 min. Then take a worn 35 cal brass wire brush and laden it with copper strands taken from a pots and pans scrub like Choir Boy. Make sure you get the all copper ones as there are copper plated ones that are too hard of a material and may scratch. Once you have some copper on the brash brush scrub the forcing cone area with it and repeat until all gone. The sharp copper really peels the lead away quickly after it’s been softened from the Hoppes.

My longing for a lewis lead remover completely faded away when I began using this process.

You can get a "lead remover" cloth and make patches out of it, they're yellow and smell like citrus and they do a great job, or as a well known expert revolver gunsmith advises, just get a stainless bore brush and brush the forcing cone with it dry.

Here is a completely different approach that works very well. Shoot the lead out with cream of wheat. Light target load with cream of wheat nearly filling case. Leave enough room to seat a lead bullet. Nothing to it and works great, even accurate. If you have gun that leads up, shoot a few of these at the end of a session, saves a bunch of time not lead mining. I don't use this method for bottleneck rifle cartridges, only straight walled cases.
