Lead Levels

I had elevated blood lead levels 3 times when I was in the military, in all 3 cases I was banned from shooting for 6 months. A Preventive Medicine tech I used to shoot with got me into using latex gloves every time I reloaded. I generally handled cast lead bullets 5-6 times from the time they were cast to the time they were fired outside down range. This cut my exposure to lead to once, when I actually shot. My elevated lead levels fell dramatically. These days on a properly ventilated indoor range during the winter I use Cam Pro bullets and all summer I use Cast Lead out doors with minimal problems.
