That's the only Wipe-Out product that hasn't worked for me, but then I bought the stuff 10 years ago, which was before they apparently re-formulated the stuff. The stuff I bought came in 2 bottles that you had to mix together & then would supposedly only last for a year. Not sure about how long they claim it works now.
What I do now is use Patch Out, then Accelerator, then the Foaming Wipe Out, the same as I do for normal jacketed bullet cleaning. However, with any of the rook rifles using cast bullets, usually after the second day (I leave it soak for 24 hours), there will be little ribbons of lead coming out on a patch. I believe what happens is the Wipe-out loosens the powder residue as well as the carbon fouling, so there is nothing to hold the lead to the barrel. Since I use XLox & cast a fairly hard wqww alloy and have NEVER had leading before, I surmise that it is very, very old lead which is being removed from the barrels. The reason I believe this is the thin ribbons of lead coming out are able to be heavily marked by my thumbnail, while no mark is made on any of my cast bullets.
