I was checking through my shed and found I have 3 bags of lead shot #4 and 2 bags of #2
What can I do with them, pain in the butt to melt then down for cast bullets. Tried some and it's a dirty
and I don't know if they are pure lead or not

Iam willing to buy them off of you , how much a bag ?

I think there is a rule about negotiating deals outside the EE

Making offer or solicitation to purchase/trade/buy in any forums other than the Equipment Exchange forums are not allowed. Business members are excluded where the exclusions are specified in the relevant terms of use applicable to the business members;

At the highest level, your options are to use it for what it was intended for (load some shotshells), or retask it to something else. Unless you have a sailboat that needs a little ballast, that pretty much means melting it down.

If you are set up to cast, it's not that big a deal, shot is a very convenient form to remelt. It will have a small amount of graphite and some antimony to make it hard. If you are not set up to cast it won't be worth the effort, sell it on Kijiji or on the EE here.

I have 100 Ibs., 4 bags of reclaimed shot. I bought years ago when it was in vogue. I use for weight when gluing things up in the shop, or anytime I just need some dead weight for what ever. It doesn't go bad regardless.

Same here,when it isn't flying down a shotgun barrel the shot has been used for just about everything possible around here that requires weight on it to either hold something down or glue something together.Couple bags are getting light now though,time to restock I guess.
