Lead/tin bars

I have a opportunity to pick up some 75% lead/25% tin bars, right now i mix linotype or monotype with my lead to get what i need,is it worth it to get and try to mix with pure lead to bring the tin down and add mono or type? I can get it for $1 lb

No Brainer, 4 lb will give you a pound of tin for $4.00 and the lead for free. Check out the price of tin per lb.

Thanks, I picked up a couple hundred pounds, unfortunately it's all I could afford. If anybody is in the lower mainland of BC and want some west coast metals scrap yard in Langley still has 150 to 200 pounds left.

Great price I think.
Buying bars will save you a lot of time and hassle compared to other scrap lead.

Now you need to find some harder stuff like linotype.
Perhaps you can trade some of the high tin for some lino type and you are all set.

Ive already got 700lbs+ of linotype and 350+ of mono type. Pretty much set for life with that.
