Hi. Where Pontiac is will matter. A stained glass hobbyist supply shop will have lead. Not exactly wire though. A 'net search for 'Stained glass supplies' turns up all kinds of places.

Look up Rick Kalaniuk (sp ) KAL tool and die in Winnipeg Man. Tell him that Blaser from the castboolits site sent you . He makes lead wire (Extruded) in many different diameters , And a whole lot cheaper than Alchemy Ext.

Depends on your specific needs, but I've used ordinary solder, not resin core. It comes in different gauges. Is not pure lead but fairly close. art.h

I'm betting he's going to try and make bullets for his .223 from old 22 cases and lead wire. Sorry...can't say I've ever seen it.

It didn't occur that to get what you need or want, that you need to add in a little info, like the size and intended purpose?

Otherwise, lead wire=fishing store. They use it for weights.

Excellent source/price and good selection there! The solder mentioned earlier is very different and valuable, it is used by some to enrich alloy for casting, but unlike pb wire, the solder usually is from 30% to 95% tin, and too hard/expensive for swaging.

Check your local foundry if you have one. I had no problem getting lead wire in the Van area. Major centers with several foundries usually have one that produces lead wire. Good luck!
