leaky ground blinds

Well, now that deer season is over for me, I will revive this old thread and report on how my tent did.

The second day of my deer hunt it rained hard with a wicked wicked wind. I am SO GLAD I seam sealed all the roof seams, because all the other seams, especially the seams where the zippers were sewn in leaked. I stayed nice and dry, but had water running down the walls of the tent, so if I had not seam sealed the roof, I would have gotten soaked.

I put the tent up about 3 weeks before opening day, and I never had one deer get spooked. I had many looking up towards my tent, but with the black interior I guess I looked invisible in there.

Having always hunted in tree stands(tree forts in my case) I was not sure if I would like being in a tent, but after a week of using it, I have to admit I was really comfy inside.

I have a ground blind but have never used it yet. Hopefully I can get out this year.
