I picked up a model 1100 today at a VERY reasonable price. It has had the metal painted with a very hard paint (new at this kind of jargon) and the wood painted flat black. The barrel has been cut to 20". It obviously now is cylinder choke. I was thinking of mounting a scope on it for slug/buckshot shooting. I found a Leaper UTG saddle mount for the scope, but it says for Rem870 and compatible. Does anyone know if it is compatible with the 1100? Also does anybody have any experience with this system? It would make a good little truck gun that you don't care if you scratch it or not. Anybody have an idea of a reasonable selling price for it if I decide to sell it?
