I have a 3x9x40 mil-dot compact on my marlin 30-30. Eye relief is very short, would not be suitable for a hard recoiling rifle. The multi-coated optics are decent given the price, and is bright enough for hunting at low power. At the higher powers, the scope is not bright enough for me for dusk/dawn hunting. It holds zero well, although the lateral tracking is strangely yet consistently 2 clicks/inch, even though it is marked as 4 clks/inch

The vertical adjustments work as advertised, although they don't have a great feel. This caused a lot of problems zeroing the rifle until I figured this out.

Once I got it dialed in, it works well. Scope caps are a nice feature. It is light and compact, looks great on the rifle, was cheap to buy, and works well enough to keep it.
If you are on a budget they are worth a look, but do not confuse them with quality optics. They do have a lifetime warranty, and my dealer guaranteed me that if I had ANY problems he would give me another one over the counter no questions asked. I just can't be bothered to send it back now. For a .22 or a light recoiling caliber they might be ok. But I would not trust them on anything that kicked very hard.

As with any optics you generally get what you pay for.
