So, before I begin let me say the gear snobs ready to pounce on here can save their breath, I know UTG parts are far from ideal however their UTG Pro line is made in the USA and is actually getting half decent reviews.

For those of us who panic bought AR15's and don't want to spend a lot of time or money on upgrades that Big Brother may eventually take from us these might be the answer.

Options allowing for more real estate on the hand rail without breaking the bank or swapping barrel nut and gas block for free floating are few and far between.

This works around the A2 site post and is easy peasy drop in ready.

I've searched the black gun forum found 4 or 5 threads on UTG Pro Canadian retailers, contacted personally everyone listed, I've searched just about every site sponsor and if I found any UTG Pro or Leapers products called them by phone to ask specifically for this unit and even messaged a number of Ebay USA retailers and asked them to ship to Canada. No Luck.

There's nothing on the EE either.

Can anyone help me? I just want to mall ninja in peace until the Tories win - who's got my hand guard?

Neat never heard of them (the rail not D.D) but it's about $300 too rich for my purposes (for now) NC Star / VISM make a similar product but I got my pee pee slapped even harder when I suggested it... besides I just like the look the UTG Pro.

The RIS2 is military fielded and built like a tank. Its price reflects its reputation accordingly. Good luck in your search.

Oh there's no doubt in my mind.

But all the R&D and military spec's in the world are still no match for the government smelters.

If I'm going to have my lawfully obtained property stolen from me and then destroyed I'd rather not adorn it with a bunch of premium accessories.

Again - this isn't a thread looking for suggestions on high end doo-dads. I'm looking for a particular product.

I really doubt that. If you're paying attention to the NZ gungrab, I think it's all or nothing. Besides what's the point of hanging onto an expensive upper? Tactical boat anchor?
 
If you want to put on a free-float rail;
You don't need to spend a penny on a new gas-block.

Just cut the front sight off.

Not kidding.

This...Just cut off the top of the front sight, dress with a file/emery cloth and paint it black. Then order a free float hand guard from TNA, this 15" M-lock hand guard will do you well, it includes the barrel nut and bits and bobs.

Not everyone wants to cut off their FSB. I like free float but I also prefer having a FSB. FSP (front sight pocket) rails offer the best of both worlds IMO. They are getting harder to find though.

Marstar carry Leapers, you could try them. I’ve thought about trying out the same rail for ####s and giggles but they weigh a fair bit. One alternative is the Strike Industries Mega Fins G2 12.5” FSP-C. Pretty light and free float as well. They appear to be hard to find as well though.
 
Still looking for this thing, tried Marstar, tried ###### Armory, tried IRUNGUNS... no ones got it in stock... anyone?
