Learning a DAO pull and competition?

Have you shotor felt a HK p30? Definitely the most comfortable gun in your hand by far..and you can get the LEM trigger which is fairly decent. I wouldn't buy a DAO gun personally, and especially not if your planning on using it in competition.

The only issue after about 3 years I had crop up from shooting revolver in IPSC was I developed "tennis elbow"...
Other issues may have contributed but the long heavy pull definitely aggravated the problem - a match left my hand useless...
The nice thing is I had zero issues transitioning to the Shadows DA/SA trigger.
DAO in a bottom feeder for competition...no thanks.

I've always said on this forum when asked, is to get a revolver and shoot it DA or find a DAO gun as once you learn that kind of trigger transitioning to other triggers will be easy. I've always got a lot of flack about that everyone seems to think that is ridiculous for some reason.

You won't get anything but agreement from me. I'm sure that my early revolver shooting helped me a lot with my semi auto shooting.

My first pistol was a SIG in DAK. I had to have a SIG and my older, wiser friend said to get a revolver and learn the DA trigger, so I compromised and got a P226 DAK. A little cheating but it does train you to be smooth.
