Well, I guess I didn't learn it well enough last year.

I was out combing the hills for ptarmigan with my brittany this morning when out of the fog came two black ducks about 15 yards above my head. I took the two upland loads out of the chambers of my Cynergy field and slid a kent waterfowl load into the bottom chamber - not having time to load 2 shells. I turned around 180 degrees as the birds flew over my head and saw them come into view from above my head exactly as I had practiced at our sporting clays course all summer. I mounted the gun with my cheek pressed tightly to the stock and pulled the trigger as the bird was at the perfect range of about 25 yards. *Click* Damn safety was on. :(

A few km's later the dog flushed a pair of ptarmigan and I managed to bag one with a pretty long shot. Saw one more that flushed out of gun range. So, it wasn't a total loss.

been there. I now usually have my thumb at the ready. Finger always out of the trigger guard until ready to fire. now if could get the lead right on the sxs i'll be laughing.

Hated my auto safety on my .410
Cured that early this year.
Had the smith fix it so it works like a normal one should.
On when on and off when off.
We'll see how this works this year.
Now if I can only shake the, is it on or did it go on by itself.....?
