Yep I got a bit burned but sometimes you have to screw up to learn .I won a mg34 cleaning kit that was advertised as WW2 NOT POSTWAR YUGO all tools marked so I fell for it the guy was adamant it was WW2 and I think he thought it to be but I got it today and guess what yep it is post war yugo and there isn't a mark on any tool except of coarse the oil/solvent cans which have yugo words right on them as well as yugo markings .it is still usable and I will keep it I did contact the guy but so far I haven't received anything back .as i said i don't think he meant to screw anybody he may just need to do a little more research ,and I have got to stop being so trusting and ask for more pics .oh well ...caveat emptar... or something like that

that sucks.. been there a few times myself, sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you dont.

But, if the guy clearly states on ebay, that it IS WW2 marke,d and NOT a yugo, and it just so happens its a yugo, even if he didnt know better, its not right, if you paid via (FRAUD ALERT), i would ask for my money back, and send him the item return.

Burnt on ebay

I have a feeling I know of this guy. He was selling the same s**t last year!
Now that some else has got burnt ( don't fret as you're not the first or the last) I am tempted to post his name address on this site. This POS gives honest guys nothing but greif! Oh yeah, If its the same guy, he is a Canadian!! If you confront him with your concerns, he will will give you a song and dance about how the Yugo's made these kits for the Germans during WWII, and then refuse the refund!

If you paid with CC / (FRAUD ALERT), do a charge back or a claim, leave a negative feedback if he won't do nothing or no response.

My ebay lesson learned ,was buying parts from reddogalaskan...or close to that name .........pictures were of new parts and what I got look liked parts from the reject pile ..not one thing was useable....not really a bad percentage though....I still have around 160 positive transactions....

I just got burned on an arisaka bayonet. Advertised as WW2 japanese, it was a modern Chinese copy that someone had given an "aged" look by letting it rust a little, but the low quality of the repro was obvious in-hand, right down the crudely electropencilled fake arsenal markings. Yuck.

The seller (a canadian!) is taking it back though, so we'll see how it turns out.

Thanks to a fellow CGNer I found out that this slime ball has done this before. He knew that the kit is Yugo it was returned to him because it was not ww11 German. I have emailed him telling him that I have found out from another source that he in fact knew this when he posted it for sale again. I have given him 15 days to send me a refund

good on you! i hope you get a full refund!!!

personally, this is why i dont buy stuff on ebay like i used too, too many people try to screw you over.

(FRAUD ALERT) will not do #### - they only deal with non delivery and never get involved in quality of goods. Been there done that. I eBay for 7 years, buy and sell.

If you paid with M/C or Visa (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED), return it to sender traceable and then dispute the charge. Provide th return shipping info and e-mail records with your dispute charge form. Let the credit companies handle it FOR you ;)

I recently got screwed by (FRAUD ALERT) when a seller charged me for the same transaction 4 times! (FRAUD ALERT) denied my claim, I think I'm going to let mastercard deal with it...

Dispute process started as per advice

It didn't work for us...... :(

eBay could care less about these scammers, so your best bet is to constantly harass them through their auctions, or on-line bulletin boards that might be frequented by potential buyers. If you're into buying WWII German accessories, watch out for the guy below. He's scammed a lot of folks on the Wehrmact Forums as well.

Caution!!!

eBay scammer rabeemil ...

Here's the scam he pulled on us.......

Thats why I don't like egay but I have bought from stores on the net that had a good rep. Rocky Mountain Swords in BC was amazing ,less than 6 days from (FRAUD ALERT) to getting my sword and it was cheaper than ordering from the manufacturer. Niche markets like milsurp and swords are small communities and word gets around on both good and bad businessnes.

I have sent a disbute a square deal notice and 5 emails and last night left him negative feedback I'm sure he going to do the negative feedback back at me he just seems the type he hasen't answered anything and what burns me is he's selling something right now as 'German Marked and dated" it may be but it's painted Yugo green .I wonder if someone emails him for a pic of the markings what they would be it might be legit I'm sure he won't send me a pic.

Forget it mark. buying twice from that bozo would be throwing good money after bad.

Let this be a lesson to you. (FRAUD ALERT) tries to convince people to pay using their bank accounts, touting the benefits, etc.

What they don't tell you is that their dispute process is totally geared toward protecting the seller, not the buyer. Despite their warnings to the contrary, ALWAYS PAY WITH VISA/MASTERCARD.

If a transaction goes south, the CC company will take your side. (FRAUD ALERT) NEVER will. I've learned this the hard way myself, too.

I never 'verified' my bank account and only use it to withdraw the money. My payments get charged to the CC even if I had a balance: the balance goes to my bank, CC gets charged. No comfort to the enemy!
As soon as you 'verified' your bank account, they want to go in there in case of any dispute, so you can get an unexpected hit on your cash, plus NSF charges if there's nothing there. No FN way.
