Hi, guy's. A guy I work with showed up with a Fulton 1943 marked M1 garand scabbard with his Winchester 94 in it, do these scabbards have any collector value, or should he just keep on using it on his horse? it is in good condition with both original straps with the correct hardware(from my quick and limited web searching) just wondering. Thanks

Yes, these do have considerable collector appeal with value depending on originality and condition. You can check ebay to get an idea of value. Might just be your pal will invest in a modern model and save the Garand one as an investment.

If it's nice, on a good day you might get $250 if you list it on e-bay. If it's in near mint condition it could bring more.

Probably best off trying to sell it to someone in Canada who's doing a WWII Jeep restoration project.

I was trying to sell a couple these well below the U.S. market value in Canada and didn't have much interest. I think your friend should preserve the holster, however it could take a little while to find an interested party but I'm sure he'll be able to eventually sell it.

Cheers,
-Steve

"...any collector value, or should he..." Yep and maybe. Collector value depends on the condition.
E-Bay is an evil, anti-firearm, empire that provides funding to the people who think you should not be allowed to own any firearm.

Well I picked up what I think is a scabard for a m1 carbine. I dont have a carbine or garand to test it, so whats the difference? It came with 2 enfield canvas bags that I wanted so it was a bonus.

well from what I have seen the carbine had 3 straps and the garand had 2 straps.

looking the prices people are asking for original scabards I did good real good on my buy :) now I just need a garand to put in it.
