So, I just got back from Mexico (Huatulco)after spending a week there relaxing and chillin on the beach. Many a Tequila and Cervesa later my liver is thanking me that it is over. We wandered around the town of La Crucecita that was close to the resort looking for souvenirs and things to take home. Earlier in the day, at the craft market at the resort I had spotted this what appeared to be handmade rifle case, and I was on the hunt to see if I could find one in town. Finally in the market I found ONE place that also had these cases, but alas the market keeper highballed me on a first price and didn't appear to be willing to deal. Initially the craft market fella at the resort had hit me at $3000 peso's for the less decorated case and appeared willing to deal. The market keeper hit me at $6000 peso's. I just walked away with him following exclaiming what you wanna pay, eventually after him following for over an hour he was at $3000 peso's. That evening I walked over at started to try and grind out a deal with the local craft market guy. We settled on $2000 peso's for the case(The much fancier one with more detail and colors mixed in), a big blanket that he was asking $480 peso's to start with, and a few other trinkets. After the dust settled I figure I paid about $100 dollars Canadian for the case give or take. Beautifully crafted in my opinion, but what the hell do I know. Figured you all might wanna have a look.
