Did a quick search and did not find a whole lot on this topic. Contacted Round Brim hat but they currently aren't taking orders. I've just picked up a new Henry 45/70 off a board member and would like to find leather accessories that are reasonably priced and high quality. Can any recommend for this? Thanks

coho911 off of outdoorsmenforum does a bunch of this. If you wanted to give us an idea of what corner of the country your located we could probably point you to someone more local though.

I did have someone in Calgary make some stuff for me, I really liked the butt stock with bullet loops, but the sling, although cool and different, didn't really get built with contours ideal for a sling, the fella doesn't have experience hunting and didnt really understand a couple things, but it works.

If you do get some stuff built, I would get heavy full grain leather for the sling with maybe a thumb loop, and get a buckle or loop on the butt stock cover for sling attachment.

Have you tried "The Working Cowboy" gun leather shop? Located in Chatham, Ontario. The shop does a variety of work.

I just bought a Chinese made 40 dollar special of amazon, and honestly I would readily compare it to any north american made leather product at a 150$ price point. The leather quality is great, the stitching is perfect, the fit on the stuck is tight. It was perfect. It was an ammo holder with the cheek riser, because the scope height on the marlin is way too high for the standard stock cheek position. The cheek riser brought it right up to the perfect height. Free shipping to my door in under a week. Unless you need something custom, it would probably fit the bill quite well.

I purchased my custom leather sling and cartridge butt cuff from: Levergun Leather Works. LLC, Athol, Idaho. Chance Shelton will make "anything" you want, he is most talented.

As for the sling, Browning sells a horse hair / leather sling. It's stylish and comfortable but has the logo on it (subtle though). A friend of mine has it and now it's on the wishlist for the BLR...

Appaloosa Leather is a Canadian based in Vancouver and they make some really nice stuff

Make one yourself. Seriously. It’s easy and would be super rewarding. I’ve been doing leatherwork for years for knife sheaths etc. if you can use a box-cutter, scissors, a pencil, a needle/thread and a hammer, you’re all set. You’ll want orthopaedic, German or half-tanned leather. The hardware (grommets, rivets, etc) are easily found at lee valley or any number of places online.
