Leaving mags loaded???

Except when I was in the range Sgt. insisted that the HP pistol only held 10 shots. :rolleyes:

sorry, :redface: I had visions of your laboriously removing the spring and pulling it out longer ( I have known people who think this is the cure to weak springs) and wanted to head that possibility off, in your line o work, you need good springs!

No worries there, if the 20-30lbs of force the mag exerts could damage the round, it would never survive the trip up the feed ramp intact, never mind the abuse full auto dishes out to them, load up and don't worry!:dancingbanana:
 
My Sig P226R came with two neutered factory mags and for the past two monhts or so, I've left them loaded in my safe with a full 10 rounds each. They work just as well and loading them is actually a bit easier.

I've also got 4 Mec-Gar mags and leave them loaded as well.

If they break, I'll just buy new ones... $20 wont break the bank
 
I have heard, by some SGT somewhere that the loading and unloading is what is hardest on the springs.... Not leaving the Mags charged.
