so ive been working on restoring 2 LEC rifles for a few years now, i finally have one done. the wood is a spliced fore end that the maker wasn't so happy with so i got an extremely good deal on it, free, but for me its wonderful for getting my first LEC together after having the parts sitting for years. personally i think it fits and looks fine but i dont have any originals to compare it to

i have another LEC project now just waiting on a handguard so im able to get it finished up as seen in the pics

and then ive also started collecting the hardest to find parts for a 3rd LEC, right now i just have the nose cap, barrel band and mag.

there are also some pics of the other LE rifles i have in that same safe as the LEC'S, the rest are down stairs and that room need to be cleaned first before i can get to the safe.

the rifles in the pics are as followed

1896 Enfield LEC 1
1896 Enfield LE 1 UDF marked (pre SADF)
Commercial BSA CLLE UDF marked
1918 BSA No1MkIII* .22 Trainer
1943 No4Mk1 ROF Maltby

Very nice rifles ,thanks for sharing .parts for these are not easy to come by.its a great feeling to find the right peices and bring one of these beauties back to life.keep up the good work and enjoy.

Very nice! I have restored a few Lee Enfields, and it is such a satisfying feeling to get them back to looking their best.

thanks guys,i think it turned out very well. im excited to have this back together. it is as good feeling when you tighten the last screw and then step back and look at it.
i had to make the nose caps and barrel bands, thanks to Englishman sending me original ones to copy. some how i keep finding LEC mags, im not complaining but ive been very luck with that.

Simon, the one that i restored above is a LEC i got in on trade, it was missing the mag, cutoff, trigger guard and front wood. its original barrel, butt stock, sights and other metal parts.

the LEC in the 4th pic down (the one needed a handguard) is the one that you are speaking of, i still have to reblue the barrel (i turned form a MLE barrel you supplied me) and find a LEC trigger guard, as i stole it to use the it on the LEC i just restored.
that rifle has only the receiver and matching bolt, trigger guard as the original parts. i made or found the rest.

this (below) (also shown in pic 4 above after i reblued it) is the one you speak of, and ill be using the 3 piece wood set you are working on for me once its done. your description is VERY accurate for that rifle, as i wait though im going to use that other repro forearm seen in 4th pic to get it built into a rifle.
