Lee 1oz slug mold

What is the diameter of those slugs?
I have cast and shot hundreds of these guys and I can't remember the exact weight or grains of powder but I use a .40 S&W casing full of Hogedon tite wad powder. Kicks like a Horse but shoots nice and straight. Hit the man sized gong at 100 yards every time.
Hulls are whatever I have found kicking around and wads are the Brown winchester ones (they were cheapest) And Winchester Shot gun primers.

Bought a 1oz and 7/8oz mold yesterday looking forward to cast up my first set of slugs. What is Evey one using for lead? Lee says to use pure lead(bhn of 5), I have about 100lbs of downriggers cast to ingots and they are pritty soft was thinken of using them and saving my COWW for boolits, any thought as I am still kind of new to this

I've used a variety of lead sources for my slugs, not just pure lead, and I have had no issue. Concerns may be that if you shot the slugs out of a full choked barrel, they would cause a problem being too hard. However, I use a rifled slug barrel and an improved cylinder choke or cylinder bore in my other shotguns and they work fine. I would do the wad test first where you place the slug in a wad and push it through your barrel from the receiver end to the muzzle (I use a wooden dowel), you should have some resistance but not too much.
