Anyone have any experience with this one in a 308win

Ill be powder coating it and gas checking

It will be a plinker/ target shooter.

Only powder I got is 3031, h4198 and I may use LVR starting with 308 marlin express data

Thanks

I've used this in my Mosin which slugged out to .311 with H4895 and UNIQUE pushing it. For me, it didn't prove to be a particularly accurate bullet. I was able to consistently hit 3" - 4" groups at 100 yds. I have been able to get down to 1.5" with the 155 gr lee .312 mold in the same rifle and same powders.

Don't be afraid to try those puppies with PC but no gas check. I have done a limited amount of testing (three different guns in two different calibers, 15 rounds or so each) GC shanked boolits three different ways... GC before PC, GC after PC and just PC without a GC, I can find no difference or betterment in any of them = once PC'd anything else is a redundant operation.

I should caveate the above statement with the comment that I haven't "hot-rodded" any of these boolits above 17-1,800 fps so if you plan on shooting them faster you may not get the same results.

I was going to give them a go without GC as well. And yes 1800fps is about what ill be pushing them as they will be strictly plinking ammo.

Thanks

Good luck. Like this boolit, I use it alot. PC or traditional lubed. Works good in 308 can't remember any loads but never pushed them past 1800 fps and always use a gas check. I use unique, longshot and titegroup. Beagled and PCED it works well in 303 and 7.62×54r as well.
Be safe
