Lee .452 .45acp TL mold drops bullets too large! (0.458")

My .45 ACP 200gr TL double mold has one side that drops them too small while the other is right on, I think Lee's gotta give they're quality control a check.
 
Yeah... Right now I'm running them through lee's resizing die. But my 9mm 6cav. doesn't require this, so, having just done 1000 .45 projectiles, I think it's a chore to resize all my .45

But, at a savings of $100 per 1000 projectiles, I guess it's not a big deal, considering it only takes a handful of minutes, and I just watch ArmoryChannel while I'm performing the operation...

I'd just like to know if anyones made their mould drop smaller bullets...
 
As a veteran of one single casting session, 'praps this neophite's experience is without merit.
But I had similar problems, so ..... FWIW

Some of my bullets dropped at the .454" spec from the H&G mold. Others were up to .458".

Two problems were identified:
-My grip pressure on the handles varied. The limp grip ones tended to go larger.
-A tiny spec of lead got stuck between the blocks.

As an aside; would appreciate learning the easy way to clean lead from those grooves without damaging the mold. It's really stuck on there.
 
Sizing that TL design that much may wipe out the small grooves or at least size them unevenly, giving you bullets that very in concentricity. I'd pitch the mold and buy a better product or use the bullets in a 45/70 for plinking.
