Lee 50th Anniversary Reloader Kit ?

The 50th anniversary kit is a little different than the 35th anniversary kit.
I would reccomend purchasing the hand-held Autoprime2 tool. A decent case trimmer will need to be purchased( I use a Lyman universal) and I prefer a different case lube system(something which I can roll the cases instead of by hand) but overall, my Lee kit has been great.Maybe in a few years, I will upgrade, but This kit is great value for what you pay.The money you save can go towards more powder, primers, bullets etc.....
I have probably made 10000 rounds on my press, definitely glad I bought it!!!

Have been using this new press for a few months and it is superb! EQual to anything in this size (can't load the BMG). The Breech twist inserts work very well and make die changes super quick and easy.

I would add the following: Lee hand primer. Not a fan of press priming and they are WAY slower and you might contaminate the primers by touching them. Forster case trimmer. The basic Lee will work but doesn't give you the option of tailoring to your chamber or for neck turning. Primer pocket cleaner. The Lee one is horrid. Deburring tool - get the RCBS. Flash hole deburr tool - RCBS.

The Lee scale works very well IF you keep it clean and ensure it is zeroed properly every useage. I found it to work better then the RCBS and Redding beam scales. Presently using a Jenning digital scale which has better resolution for my match loads.

The powder measure is actually quite good for a powder measure. Really good with ball powder. Not bad with small extruded like Benchmark. So so with larger extruded like Varget, H4350 and 4831SC.

Personally, I measure all my charges as there is no measure that has the resolution I want with the powders I use.

Yes, the BR mega dollar ones aren't accurate enough for my tastes.

The plastic holder for the "dampening plate" was off. The plate would either contact one of the magnets or not be affected by them. I could also place the beam into 2 ever-so-slightly different locations on the blade.

I had heard of people weighing every load and I could not imagine how tedious and frustrating that process would be. When I received my 5-0-2 (thanks again, Doug) it was like a door opened - "Oh, this is what it's supposed to be like."

I personally would not pay the price of shipping for a free Lee scale. Some like them and I can only guess that they got a good one and I got a bad one. Perhaps (most likely, from I've heard of their service) Lee would have replaced it. But I am very happy with my RCBS and do not regret the purchase.

And I recently bought some neck sizing dies from Redding. Night and day once again.

I hate the Lee scale as well. Every time I touched it, the balance point would change, and I didn't trust it enough to use it even once. I bought a Hornady digital scale and have been incredibly happy with it - instant measurements, incredibly easy to zero and calibrate. It even includes two calibration weights.

Otherwise, the Lee stuff works just fine :) I have the Breech Lock kit though.
