Can the lee 50th ann. Kit load 45-70. I've read the lee doesn't full length resize and I've read that that is necessary for this round? Is this true? I wish to load 223, 25-06, and 45-70. Can this be done all on the lee kit with just swapping dies? Thanks

The only Lee stuff that does not full length resize, that I am aware of, is the Lee Loader, used with a mallet and a stump of wood, to reload your ammo the hard way.
AFAIK, the Lee dies are no different than the rest, in that the amount of sizing and crimp, come from following the directions and setting the dies accordingly.
You will be able to load any caliber that you can get dies for, with the press.

Yup just swap the dies out and you're good. Also remember to get a case length gauge for each caliber as well to trim your brass and a good caliper.

Ok thanks. That clears it up for me. I'm looking at getting the press kit mainly for my 223 which I rarely shoot and my 45-70 which costs a #### load in factory fodder. My 25 shoots the cheap winchester 90gr and 120s so well and at $27 a box its not really worth my time but I'd like to load those vmax 75grain.
Then ya gotta start casting bullet's for it!
Nothing like taking a pile of scrap wheel weight's and turning them into purdy looking boolit's.
Zuke has it right, the 45/70 can be reloaded for very little cost with quality cast bullets and can/will outperform any factory loads because of the ammo manu. concern about lawsuits from higher pressure loads in very old guns. All this puts you in the drivers seat....the other cals. are worth it too but the savings may not be as great, you should be able to develop handloads that are more accurate then factory ammo, so either way it is worth it!!!!
