Does anyone know where to buy parts fast for a Lee reloader? Have an older challenger press and broke the metal part that holds the handle. Kind of surprising that it broke. I didn't think I was putting alot of pressure on it and the press, although prob 10 years old, has been used very little. Almost out of Coyote rounds and now no press so trying to get it fixed asap.

Any help would be appreciated.
 
Thanks for the reply. Anyone ever order directly from Lee? Prob take weeks to get to Canada but may be my only source.
 
I have one of these presses. Mine is still the original aluminum linkage but they were replacing broken ones with a new updated metal linkage (if they still have the parts). I would call Lee directly, shipping should be quick. Lee head office 262-673-3075

The new Lee Breech Lock Challenger is a better aluminum casting overall for the press frame along with all steal linkage.
 
It would be nice, OP, if you put your location on your profile. that way, if someone were near you, they could help you out by loaning you a piece of equipment if they had an extra, that would keep you going. Or better yet let you drop in and use their gear. Help you out, meet a fellow CGNr, make a friend.

Call Lee in the morning. They'll have a new part to you by Friday or the next Monday at the latest.

I used one of those presses for years. I liked it, but it broke the same as most others do. You'd think Lee would address this problem and save this hassle down the road and maybe increase sales from new shooters who buy otherwise to avoid future problems.

They did address the problem by replacing the cast linkage with a steel one.
They are also shipping free parts to anyone who requires them well beyond their advertise 2 year warranty.

I don't think that there is another company on this planet that has done more for reloading than Lee Precision has.
By pricing their equipment well below other companies they have allowed many people to join the reloading community.

A beginner can purchase the Lee 50th Aniversary kit in Canada for $129.00 and add a set of dies for another $35.00 and start reloading.
