Lee Classic Cast - Opinions Needed!

I'll see if Cabelas will accommodate me with shipping a LCC since they have no presence in Kebequistan.

Great choice. I'm sure you will not be dissapointed. They also have them at x-reload. I can't seem to find them on the Cabela's site
 
Sounds like a crazy policy. Cabala's is where I purchased mine about 5 yrs ago. They shipped it right to my door...free shipping.
 
Amazon has it $197+free shipping.
All great but some places south of the border have them for under $100USD ($133CAD).
$130CAD would have been great!
 
For years I reloaded with a RCBS Rock-Chucker. It was a great press. Because of a divorce I sold all my reloading equipment.
Nine years ago I fought a Lee classic cast press and have loaded thousands of rounds with it. I prefer the Lee to the Rock-Chucker
because I have large hands and the Lee has a bigger opening.
I take it off the bench every few months and lube the linkage pins and levers. The Lee I'm sure will last for ever.

Have you ever resized 50 BMG in a CC? I have and the steak knife comment was appropriate. Nobody said the CC wouldn't work, just said the RC was better at some things. Stupid is an appropriate reply to stupid.
 
Only someone who had trouble with "grade 5 science" would be stupid enough to use an example like this. What you implied was that the linkage would not take the strain of a longer handle which is absurd.

I know quite well that a longer handle would provide more leverage. (Directed at jethunter:p)
My question was will it provide the same leverage as the Rock Chucker Supreme.
After calling Cabelas, they will discontinue carrying the Lee Classic Cast Press and will not ship me one.
I will do more press price shopping or I may just end up buying something different altogether!
Anyone tried the MEC Marksman?
I kind of like the "floating" shell holder approach and can be found for $289 CDN.

That's pretty close to a Redding Boss price, $170US from Brownells.
Higginsons is a big Lee dealer, they will have the CC in stock.
 
The rcbs produces more leverage because the work is divided into a longer stroke of the handle. Not a longer handle. If you need the absolute most power, it’s probably better. I’ll sacrifice a little title power for a shorter stroke. I have both side by side. The lee is more convenient for me. No problem sizing or swaging any cartridge or caliber.
