I have been using the Lee 3 die sets with my Por 1000 for loading 9mm for a few years now. I find the loads work, but are not the most accurate; I have not been super concerned as I do not shoot this load past 15 meters.
I was planning on picking up a factory crimp die for the 9mm for working with match type loads; I planned to back out the seating/crimp die to seat the bullets and then crimp the load on a separate press for match loads (plinking ammo will be done the same as usual).
I just picked up a 45 ACP and I was thinking of buying the deluxe 4 die set with the factory crimp die already in it, but I was wondering if I could do what I have been doing for plinking loads. Is the seating die in the deluxe set the same as the 3 die set; can I seat AND crimp if I decided to?
