Lee deluxe quick trim case help

It seems simple enough but it's not doing anything.

I'm trying to trim 3030 case to 2.030 so I bought the lee rifle quick trim die for 3030 and of course the deluxe quick trim case trimmer. My measurements say most of my brass is 2.039-2.035 and the odd one is over the max at 2.040

But it doesn't cut anything.

It has a bushing that can be removed to cut shorter brass but it says that's only needed for cases shorter then 1.25

It's new and does cut because I removed the bushing once to check and destroyed a casing.
 
Have you measured the length of the trimmer? Maybe it is too long. Dumb question, primer is removed?
OOOPS my bad I was thinking of their other trimming system.

No problem, friends I know that reload haven't used this system eathier. Yes the case prep has been de primed and full length re sized. The system also has a micro adjustment screw that can go longer or shorter by .1 each click and a total of ten clicks. But I've tried all of the clicks.
 
I guess it is time to contact Lee and ask them. They may have a bad batch out there and waiting for calls from users.
 
I emailed Lee with a technical question and they got back to me within a couple of hours with the answer. I was very impressed with their customer service.
 
Iceman2 you are correct! I got an email back from lee and they believe it's a die problem and will swap it out.
