the classic is not progressive? And may i reload all kind of ammunition, rifle...
Turret Presses are not progressive presses. You can reload many rifle cartridges, except perhaps for the longest calibers, on the Classic turret. You may have to remove the action rod and clamp for most if not all the rifle calibers as well (I have never reloaded rifle cartridges on my Turret).
By doing this, you have to rotate the turret manually to index each die station over the casing.
Turrets hold only one casing at a time and the turret rotates while each station is auto-indexed above the casing each time you pull the operating handle. The casing is held by the shell holder atop the press ram, so it moves up and down only.
In the Lee Classic, there are four die stations in the turret and that means that in order to reload one cartridge, you need to pull the handle four times.
There are other things you have to do at each station as well, like place a fired casing on the shell holder, put a a new primer on the primer arm cup, place a bullet on the case mouth, remove the loaded cartridge then start over again.
In a progressive press, for example a Dillon 550B, once you fill up all the slots in the shell plate, you will have 4 casings on the shell plate. That means that for every pull of the op handle, you are doing four operations at on time.
Every pull of the handle will produce a reloaded cartridge.
Production rate of the Dillon 550B is a little more than twice that of the Lee Classic turret, in my experience. I have loaded about 400 per hour on my Dillon 550B (sold) and about 180 per hour on my Lee Classic turret.
