lee die code???

I was looking at two sets of Lee 9mm dies and noticed a difference in the codes on the dies... One said 9mm-b2 and one 9mm-k1. This is on the carbide sizing die. Any reason for this? The k1 is newer... perhaps are there improvements? The newer set had other dies with the code A2 whereas the older set had B2????

looking at mine, it says L0, production code maybe? machine it was made on, date it was made, batch #?

Letter is the month, number is the last number of the year
