I am sure you already have offers in your box. But that aside. If numbers match to all parts and the box and it has all the transit case stuff like patches jags rod my guess is 1500 to 2500 but i will let someone else comment.

Just looked and it appears the kit is complete. Key serials are if bolt number matches receiver and magazine.

LOL no offers yet I do appreciate you opinion. when i search for it i am getting conflicting prices. I want to be fair on both sides when the time comes.

Plinker's silly question time. Were .22LR cartridges loaded into the magazine via chargers and the bridge? Is there such a thing as a Lee Enfield .22LR charger? Also, how many rounds does the magazine hold when converted to .22LR?

Very good example of a trainer rifle OP. There can't be many examples left as complete as yours (assuming numbers match).

I have seen a 22 magazine that held an inner magazine which fed directly. Most 22 mags i have seen and had on my old one have a hole to store the empty casing. They eject out and fall into the magazine.

the local shop sold 2 in the last 2 months, they were as nice as yours but they were just the rifle, no box or accessories. Yours is like in the $2000+ range. Which is crazy. Less than 5 years ago, it would have sold for around $1000.

plinker: C No 7 was single shot only, no ejector, MT case dropped into magazine. The british had a slightly different .22 trainer with mag. The Australian was more different, but still lee-enf style SS.

I just bought one. It is numbers matching in the crate much like yours. I paid (gulp).... $1900, but that included shipping. I think you are in the ballpark price wise but you might want to reconsider not shipping it. As someone who looked for one for quite a while and found nothing local, I can tell you that offering shipping, even at the buyer's expense, opens the door to a lot more prospective buyers. Just my two cents.
Cheers and good luck with the sale.

The chest is in exceptional condition. Most in service chests had the corners ground off by 14 and 15 yr old cadets dropping or scraping them going from cadet QM to the nearby range. When the Supply Depots sold them for surplus, the stores and yards gave them no respect. Most sellers hate those boxes because they are just so awkward. That chest sat quietly getting old for a long time. Secondly, this one has the brass rod and jags. Good to have all in the same place without having to locate in ones or twos. The rifle is set up as a trainer, not as a competition rifle. So as it would have been when sold out of service. If it had one of those incredible machinery example Parker Hale or AJ Parker sights, it would be another $200 or $300. That particular .22 sight is unusual enough to hold up the overall value.

Is it worth $2000? Yes to the person who wants one. As an all Canadian rifle, that is a very nice find. Maybe you are that person.

I appreciate all the responses it is why I love this community. I have worked out a deal with the first person who said they would take it. there was an overwhelming amount of people who wanted it I wasn't prepared for that amount of pms. thanks again to all.
