Hi, I just picked up a Lee Enfield no4 mk1.

My dilemma lies in that I don't have any charging clips. I did a search and any previous threads listed site sponsors. But they no longer have them listed.

So, any direction would be fantastic. Or, if anyone is willing to part with any(?). Obviously willing to pay for them.

Is it possible to load the magazine, in place, by hand?

Thanks,

Gun shows will also have a bunch, you are down in Halton, lots of shows coming up in the spring, if you normally go just add them to your list. Is your rifle a WWII version or a post WWII? I got a 1942 Lend Lease and of course I needed a bayonet too, spike bayonets which is what was the norm at that time, can also be found quite cheaply at gun shows.

Mine is a 1943. The itch to send a few rounds down range is getting stronger. Good thing the weekend is coming up.

Nice, no chargers needed to load and shoot it, just load with the rim on top in front of the rim below, takes a little longer but not an issue.

The one thing that sucks is that cheap ammo for the 303 Brit is almost gone, you can sometimes find cheaper stuff but factory ammo now is getting up to $30 a box and more, I miss the days of under $1 a shot for 303 and 30-06.

As a kid I had a job working at the DCRA matches. I had to pick up the steel chargers and put them in a garbage can. I filed many, many garbage cans with chargers.

Sure wish I had them in my garage right now. Worth $1.00 each.
