Hello all, I have an old lee enfield (is there any other kind?) that i would like to identify and get a rough idea of value. I do have pictures for email addresses.

I have done some research on it and it appears to be a numbers matching lithgow 1941 model 1 mark 3, but of course confirmation is what i am here for.

Thanks

A few pictures

Thanks for that info ill take a closer look to see if I can further identify it. I posted some pictures of the rifle too.

Yep Lithgow 1941 SMLE Mk III* The other markings are Australian proof marks
Barrel cut (i think ??), charger bridge ground off and mag also chopped. I would say more like $125, $150 top.

Except for a checkering job that looks like it was done with a butter knife it doesn't look bad cosmetically. How does the cut and crown look? Is the front sight dovetailed in or soldered on, it's not significant to anything, just curious.

I agree with the $150-$200 or so valuation. Whatever you can get for it. But, it's not restorable which many on the Milsurp forum look for.

Sell it as a hunting rifle.
