Guys, I would appreciate an opinion: I bought this rifle long ago, and only realized recently, when I found a bayonet that fits it, that the previous owner had the bayonet fitting sawed off, so I cannot place the bayonet on the barrel.
Can an armorer repair this fitting, you think? Would the cost be worth it? Or should I leave it as it is.
Thanks for the advice.

if you're really lucky you'll find a flash hider/bayonet lug/front sight.....however the key is REALLY lucky!!! i have one that required the front sight "ears" and searched and searched to no avail. there are "new production" ones available but that can be a sketchy undertaking. if you do find an "original" they are not cheap and will most definitely require a smith to pin it on for you. just my opinion as i've been down that very road.
cheers
