Does anyone know what the M/8 marking on a mag for the L-E is?

Supplier code? M typically means Maltby, but for some parts there was a South-Midlands-North coding system in use, followed by a supplier number.

Hi Enef. manufacturing codes were N - Northern District, M - Midlands District, S - Southern District The M8 code found on the seating
backstrap of the magazine is Austey & Wilson. Pg 395 in the The Brit, Service Lee by Skennerton. John
