I have a friend who has a short mag for is No4 MK1. It is flush with the wood. Do you know where I can get one?

I also have a 5 shot, flush with the wood mag. A handy man with minimum shop tools can make them.

Cut Off Mag for a Lee Enfield

I have a friend who has a short mag for is No4 MK1. It is flush with the wood. Do you know where I can get one?

Years ago, I made one myself, cut one off flush, soft soldered a bottom, replaced spring and follower. The rifle BTW was a #4 MK1, which had the wrist band cut off! and sported a one piece stock, even Lou the Whiz would never have brought this rifle back. It was a damn fine bush rifle, light and easy to carry. Wish I had never sold it. It should be in the Ottawa Valley still.

Here's a how-to for making them from .303british.com. You don't need one to be legal though. Not many people bother cutting a 10 round mag for that reason.
