Lee Enfield Magazines

The no.5mk1 has the same mag as the no.4 rifle, except the no.5mk1 mag is jungle commando ready.

The rifle is not for jungle use, it was designed as a lighter, shorter rifle for airborne troops in Europe, thus, it is a no4 albeit with a few chops and slices.

But the No 5 was used in Malaya where the compactness and light weight was much appreciated.in the jungle
I know this carbine was originally a paratroop version of the No 4

There WAS a specific, unique magazine for the JC but, in actual Service, only Number 4 mags were supplied to Armourers..... and they fit and worked just fine.

Result: the proper Number 5 mag box has become somewhat of a rarity.

How would one know if he had a No 5 magazine as opposed to a No 4?
Next question, a bayonet, where could I get one with scabbard and I know I'll have to pay through the nose for one
