Lee Enfield Mk4 Value???

I know its hard without pics but what is the ball park value of a full wood mk4 that has been drilled and tappped for a scope in overall good condition?

I would pick it up in a heart beat for 200 if everything was there.No more than 250 for a drilled & tapped though

Had a look at it, its in good cond. but.... its missing the rear sight, he said he would do $175, how hard is it to find original sights for a mk4 ?

depending on the rear sight type you want theres 3 tht i know of

this is the type i like idk how common these are

this seems to be a common one

and i cant find a good pic of the last type it looks kind of like the top one but it uses a little spring loaded lever to unlock the sight and move it around

Rear sights are not hard to find. Finding one of the correct type and manufacture to restore the rifle to the exact configuration as it left the factory may take a while, if you can determine those details, but in actual service it may have had the sight changed anyway so anything is authentic enough because the fact that is has been drilled and tapped means it isn't a great collector's piece anyway.

Mk.4 isn't the correct name for it. The correct designation is Number 4, and then a Mark. Marks were 1, 1*, or 2 as originally manufactured. A Mk.1 or Mk1* later modified at an arsenal to the same type of trigger as the Mk.2 would be restamped Mk.1/2 or Mk.1/3 respectively. Just so you know - these details are not something to worry about in respect of this rifle you are looking at. As long as the bore is good it should be a good shooter and nice to have as representative of the type just to enjoy shooting it.
