Lee Enfield no.1 mk.3

That's kind of like asking I am looking for a good F150 how much? So much depends on what you want, where you are etc. I assume you are looking for a No 1 Mk III* as a No 1 Mk III is a rarer beast and will cost more. Are you looking for a representative example, WW1 dated, British or Australian, FTR, disposal, original?????

Having said that $750 is about the cheapest you will find a decent one unless you get lucky.

the prices on all enfields has gotten crazy expensive over the past couple of years. given this increase, expect to pay around 750$ of a solid example with matching numbers and up to 1200 for one in excellent condition. not the prices i would pay as i know of people with several in excellent condition in their collection that were purchased for under 100$ but that was many years ago.

I have a No 1 mk3 in 7-8 condition from toe to muzzle, 3-4 years ago they sold for $550-$650, today's ridiculous prices I wouldn't sell mine for less than $900.
As a kid I remember Maclouds hardware having barrels of No1s and No3s for $40-$65.times have changed.

Bought my first hunting 303 from Mcleods #4 Mk.1 for $29.60 sporterised. Army and Navy in Edmonton had hundreds of them in racks around the square posts in the basement $25.00 each full wood. You are right times have changed, price seems to double every 10 years. I have an old Crown Surplus Catalog in the mid 60's they were selling #4 T's for $89.00 c/w transit chest and matching #32 scope, look at them now. Should have bought a whole pallet of them before they were separated and sold piece meal.

All things considered I still find good value in a No1MK3 for $750-$800 that is numbers matching and in decent original condition.....that as well as Swedish Mausers that are numbers matching in my estimation are still good affordable buys.
