lee enfield no.1 mk3 parts

Hey grommit (and others):

I am in a similar boat. I have a sporterized Mk III and recently bought a set of wood and other parts from a member. Very happy with what I received. However, I still need a number of other parts to put this puppy back together. I googled L/E No. 1 Mk III parts (images) and printed an exploded parts diagram numbered with descriptions. Most of what I require relate to the springs and screws to bed the barrel in the full wood. I suggest you try this as a way to narrow down all the additional parts that you will need to bring yours back to its former glory.

Thankfully, Ellwood Epps appears to have most if not all of the parts I need.

Good luck with it and I am looking forward to posting in the Enfield Restoration sticky once I am done.

All these folks have a list. Try to buy the items. Either not in stock or told those are old prices and here's what it really costs. If your looking at USA sites like the one mentioned here. It cost double to land it here. Been through this several times. Ron

You got that right. Good luck.

dont know if anyone is still paying attention to this thread or not but here is where i'm at so far. https://imgur.com/a/N3S6m i got all the parts to fit together now i'm taking it all back appart and stripping and staining all the wood. i will finish it with linseed oil. will post pics when completed!

good luck sspike its a very rewarding project in hindsight i definitly overpaid for all the parts i needed but man holding one of these in your hands and thinking all the history behind it it's just awesome. if my wife would let me have my way this would be hanging from a proper display rack in my living room. here is a pic of the rifle all assembled https://imgur.com/xPfElsJ it still need a bit of tweaking and more linseed oil rubbed into the wood before i consider it completly done.

I have ordered screws and small parts from DS Solutions Military in England. It's a husband and wife operation and they are great to deal with.
Cheers.

Wow. Looks great grommit420! I've been working on one myself that's not ready for pics posted but is coming along nicely. One thing I've noticed is how helpful everyone in the milsurp community is! Seems like any time I run into a roadblock or have questions someone comes along right away who's willing to help. It's been a really fun experience for my son and I.
