Lee enfield No.4 Mk 1 magazine

I want to do some more modifications to a Lee enfield Sporter that was given to me recently. It is a pretty gun as it is, but I want to order a composite stock set for it and use a Shortened magazine that will insert and sit flush in the rifle. I was going to have one made, however I was told to try here and see if there maybe some out there to purchase pre made.

I am looking for a Ho.4 mag, either 5 or 10, if the price is right.

Well, I don't have any, but I'm pretty sure you could find some at a gun show... I'll PM you with the info of someone who might have some...

Another to look for at gunshows are Enfield mags that where factory converted to 5 rounds by parker hale.

You can find some decent mags on the exchange and there are instructions on modifying them on one of the Enfield sites probably Woodchopers.

Cool, I'm glad it worked out for you!

You'll have to modifiy it yourself or have it done. Essentially, the mag is cut roughly in half and the bottom re-welded back on. You'd have to cut the spring too. Never seen a cut off mag at any gun show. There's no legal requirement so nobody bothers.
