Lee Enfield No5 MK1 Question

Hello,

I have a Lee Enfield No5 MK1(F) that is stamped "3/47 Z 8545".

I am assuming that the 3/47 is March 1947. Anyone know what the "Z 8545" means?

What is also interesting about this gun is the buttstock and forestock looks almost brand new with the end of the buttstock stamped "Judd Waterford Ont". So the stock was replaced with one made by the Judd Gunstock company of Waterford, Ontario. Just wondering what year they stopped making gun stocks?

8545 should be serial no. mine looks brand new too, and is 5/45

the wood is definitely not original, from front to back, upper hand guard missing. stock was not military issue. other than that, for a few bucks, you could bring it back from bubba easily

Missing bayonet lug...

Used to be able to get new flash hiders with the bayonet lug from Numrichs, now they won't ship them.
