I was chatting with a buddy about some wild ideas with a 410 and some slightly higher pressure. He mentioned that people use a Marlin in 444 and can convert to 410, it is all about the designation in shotgun only areas here, that is the thought on this job anyway.
The thought came to my head, with all the sporter enfields laying around might it not be easy enough to rebarrel a Lee Enfield with a .429 barrel and ream the chamber to 410 bore. You should be able to seat a .429 bullet deep inside a 410 magtech brass case, I think they have a large enough ID for that.
You could essentially get a 44 Rem Mag out of something marked 410 bore, maybe a little hotter.
